Welcome in...

Decided to give this a try. Blogs have always intrigued me, so why not right?!

I've had a lot on my mind lately, but one thing/place in particular:
Crucis. It's not just a summer camp, but an incredibly holy place.

This cross welcomes you as you drive into the gates of Camp Crucis, a small Episcopal church camp in little Granbury, Texas. I'm telling you. This place is heaven on earth. There is just something about the air. I don't know if it's the familiar smell of sulfur flowing over the dam or just the way that everything feels so right when you step out of your car, but you always immediately feel God's presence and the overwhelming sense of the Holy Spirit. pure bliss.

A little background? Well, long story short: my mom and aunt both went to Crucis when they were young and I've been going there ever since pre-k as a camper, and have spent 12+ summers out there, and am now extremely blessed to be on the Summer Staff this year! Needless to say, I'm super excited and definitely ready to see what God has in store for me this summer!

This is the walkway up to the outside chapel at camp, The Chapel of Transfiguration. There is no comparable place. I've spent many early mornings at mass, singing God's praise with his children here, and many nights praying to Him when I've needed him most. I want to get married here one day.

Needless to say, this place is very near and dear to my heart. I was there just last weekend, at Staff retreat, getting ready for this summer and returned back to school this week once again renewed by Crucis.
